Winter Activities in Don Valley West

This winter, the City is offering over 10,000 winter recreation courses such as skating for beginners, figure skating, and hockey programs. Residents can use the Registered Programs Map to find day camps, ski hills, and other winter activities in their local communities. Some of the locations with programming include the beginner hill and main hill at Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre for leisure skiing and snowboarding as well as many local parks with tobogganing hills, which you can learn more about on the City of Toronto's tobogganing website. In Don Valley West, residents can access several fantastic locations for ice skating all winter long, including:  

  • Hodgson Artificial Ice Rink: Located at 276 Davisville Avenue, Hodgson Artificial Ice Rink has two skating pads – one for shinny and one for leisure skating. You can find out more information about hours of operation, here.

  • Leaside Memorial Community Gardens Arena: Located at 1073 Millwood Road, the Leaside Memorial Community Gardens Arena provides indoor facilities for winter sports, including hockey, figure-skating, and pleasure skating. Find more information about programs and facilities, here.
